The identification of the crankshaft starts with evaluating the engine assembly, which can be of two versions:

• With a completely cast iron crankcase;
• With a cast iron upper part and an aluminum lower part.

Furthermore, thanks to the technical details provided for each reference, it is possible to:

• Identify the primary shaft hole diameter, determining the model of the gearbox, 20 mm for manual or 21 mm for automatic;
• Distinguish the material of the crankshaft, whether cast iron or aluminum, in case of specific applications.
